If you want to enter recovery mode on the Nokia 5, this is the tutorial you need. We have explained in a step-by-step guide below on how to do just that. Recovery Mode allows you to do certain tasks that you cannot do while in standard mode. This mode allows you to do graphics test and also allows you to make a backup of you system. You can sideload system files, apps and firmware files directly from the recovery mode or by using ADB. If you do not know how to enter Fastboot mode, you can enter into that mode on the Nokia 6 directly from the recovery as well.

Commonly, on Android smartphones, you can enter recovery mode by pressing and holding a combination of specific buttons at once. But entering the Recovery Mode on Nokia 5 is a bit different. To enter Recovery Mode, your Nokia 5 has to be plugged in with computer through the USB cable. Not very efficient, but this could be done for security purposes.

Tutorial:

This is how to enter into Recovery Mode on this phone:

Step 1 – Turn OFF your Nokia 5 phone.

Step 2 – Connect your phone with a PC / Mac using the USB cable.

Step 3 – Wait till you see the charging animation on the screen.

Step 4  – Then, press and hold Volume Up + Power buttons on your phone.

Step 5 – You will see a countdown message on the screen saying, “Please release key to power off…“. Ignore the message, keep both the buttons still pressed and let the countdown finish.

Step 6 – Once the countdown finishes, you will finally see the Android Recovery on your Nokia 5. This is the Recovery Mode, as shown in the picture below.

Can’t get this to work. Recovery mode eventually loads (with no count down). Let go of keys and just reboots as first option. If I let go of the power button first, just turns off. This is really frustrating. No problems with P9 lite.
