Nokia went off with a flying start this year as they got a great response from their “in 60 sec” flash sale in China with one of their Android phones. After a successful start, Nokia Mobile (HMD Global) launched their high-end premium flagship, the Nokia 8, after bringing the mid-range Android smartphones, Nokia 3, 5, and 6 to the market. Nokia 8, the first flagship of Nokia new generation, comes with Ziess made camera optics and sensors along with Nokia OZO audio system and 360-degree spatial audio for immersive audio experience.
Nokia 8 is capable of capturing 4K videos. Looking at the design, it looks like reincarnation of next-gen Nokia Lumia. But the star of the show is the camera… or cameras. HMD has claimed that Nokia 8 is the best device to record your life’s documentary. Its 13 megapixels camera has phase detection auto-focus feature which is very rare among smartphones. Sony Xperia XZ and XZ Premium are the only one along with Nokia 8.
The Nokia is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 2.47GHz processor with 4GB RAM. It has 2.5D curved QHD 5.3-inch display. The internal memory of Nokia 8 is 64GB with an option of SD Card supported up to 256GB. Nokia 8 in Gloss Blue color also supports 128GB internal storage.
Nokia 8 runs Google’s stock Android Nougat 7.1.1 and will get security updates accordingly. It has a big battery of 3090mAh with the talk time up to 9 hours and supports Quick Charge 3.0. Nokia 8 is IP54 certified which means that it will with stand some splashes. Also, Nokia 8 is integrated with Bluetooth 5.0 along with 4G VoLTE. It also has USB Type-C and NFC. Nokia 8 will be available in Polished Blue, Polished Copper, Tempered Blue, and Steel.
Nokia 8 Release Date:
The flagship Nokia 8 will be available for purchase in September across Europe for €599 ($705). HMD did not announce any plans yet of bringing this flagship Nokia phone to the US, like they did with the previous Nokia 6.
We hope to add more details regarding the launch of Nokia 8 in more countries all across the globe.
