Here it is, the upcoming Nokia 2 phone. The first renders of the phone have been leaked online, all thanks to @evleaks. Nokia 2 will be an entry-level phone powered by Android Oreo and is expected to release some time next month. We have already seen four Android phones by HMD Global, and the company seems to be bringing a very entry-level phone next.
The first four Android phones are Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and the recently launched flagship phone — Nokia 8. After the initial release of Nokia Android phones, fans hoped for a high-end flagship phone and they got that last month. Next, Nokia 2 renders have leaked that seems to have Android Oreo out of the box.
We can see the Nokia 2 in two colours, white and black. The date as per the renders suggest we can expect the Nokia 2 launch on 5th October. There have been rumours about a new entry-level phone from a while now. It was earlier expected to be released before the Nokia 8, but looks like we will be getting it while the world gets the Nokia 8. As per the render, we can also see a slightly modified Google Search widget. It has rounded corners instead of the usual rectangle.
On the hardware side, if earlier rumours are to be believed, Nokia 2 will be having a 4,000 mAh battery inside. That’s a whole lot of battery power in a tiny device. There is a small speaker at the lower right, at the rear side. Nokia seems to have given up on capacitive buttons, in the favour of on-screen ones.
As always, we will cover whenever the launch happens. Be it on 5th October, or any later date. You can expect more Nokia news in the coming days and months!
