Nokia 8 is the newest flagship device from the company. It was launched a few weeks back with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage and there were rumours that the phone will come with more storage options. Rumours aren’t rumours anymore as HMD Global has confirmed that the phone will come with 128GB storage and 6GB RAM soon. The new version of Nokia 8 is set to release on October 20th, 2017. At the start, it will be available in Europe only and other markets will have to wait for weeks. Nokia 8 upgraded will only be available in one colour which is Polished Blue colour and will cost €669 ($800). Which makes it €90 expansive than the 4GB RAM version. Upgraded model will have same other specifications and features other than colour, more ram and storage.
Moreover we saw lately in our last post that HMD Global submitted an application to FCC which mentioned about the updated versions of Nokia 8 TA-1004 and TA-1012. These two new variants features more memory and storage as compared to their previous ‘global’ model. This falls in line with HMD Global’s plan to launch an updated variant of the Nokia 8 flagship phone in the US, China and India.
Nokia 8 is the first Nokia-branded phone to feature a dual-lens camera system. The rear camera module includes a set of two 13 MP sensors. The front and rear cameras’ when used at the same time, create a bothie image, where the cameras can be used simultaneously by dividing the screen into a split-image setup, a technology Nokia calls Dual-Sight mode. Both the front and main cameras use ZEISS optics. The rear camera is equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS), f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, an IR rangefinder, and a dual-LED flash. Bothie mode is something very new as its name. This feature could prove popular for sports scenarios or for people attending and streaming protests
Video recording can be done in resolutions of 2160p at 30fps (4K) and 1080p at 30fps (FHD), with single-touch live streaming to social networks. The Nokia 8 is the first ever phone to feature Nokia OZO spatial 360° audio built in to its core.
