HMD Global has finally started pushing official Android 8.0 Oreo update to last year’s Nokia 6 2017 (TA-1000 / TA-1003). Following on the promise of quick updates, the older Nokia 6 2017 now gets to enjoy Android 8.0 Oreo. Right now, this update is restricted to China, Hong Kong and Taiwan region but hopefully, a global roll-out will start quite soon. The improved low-light camera quality should definitely bring the Nokia 6’s camera up to speed. Also, Nokia cloud account service is a new introduction which will hopefully be of great benefit to Nokia users.
Get this update on your Nokia 6 by going to the OTA (Over-the-air) update section in your settings menu. It is quite a large update – 1587MB – so preferably download this over a WiFi connection.
