The Nokia 2 is receiving just the February 2018 security patch and the OTA size for it is a small 90MB. February 2018 Security Update for Nokia 2 and Nokia 6 Details:
As for the security definitions themselves, Google has addressed couple of vulnerabilities that put users at risk. The major vulnerability which was addressed was in the Media Framework. This vulnerability allowed a remote attacker to utilize a specially crafted file in order to execute arbitrary code. There had been no reports of this exploit being utilized but Google has been quick to fix it and we advise you update your device immediately to avoid any issue. That’s all for the Nokia 2.
For the Nokia 6, however, the update builds further on top of that. It brings the Android 8.0 Oreo upgrade with couple of new features which are mentioned ahead. Our favorite one is the Picture-In-Picture mode.
- Software upgrade – Android 8.0 Oreo (v5.22A)
- Notification dots
- Update Google Security Patch 2018-02
- Autofill passwords
- Faster boot up
